010 How do we survive winter?
...combined with some inspiration on what to wear to all those different christmas gatherings without feeling overdressed.
When I think of winter, I have this very romantic idea of this colder time of year. I look forward to snow, skiing, cozy blankets, tea and candles. To christmas markets, festivities and goose dinners.
But here in Berlin, winter usually looks different. It's gray and drizzly, one of us is constantly sick, it's completely dark after 4 pm and I have trouble not falling asleep while putting my little son to bed.
So this edit is not only meant to inspire you as a reader, but also myself. Because I feel like I need to dream myself back to those kind of childhood christmas memories to make it through winter this year.
The next days will be all about:
—Decorating our flat (even though it is not easy with a toddler)
—baking christmas cookies
—lighting candles (as soon as my son is in bed)
—eating mandarins
—enjoying mulled wine and raclette cheese at the christmas market
—wearing long coats that feel like a huge blanket
—eating porridge with a touch of cinnamon for breakfast
—visiting my favorite yin …
